3 years agoHouston Astros relief pitcher Bryan Abreu (calf) will be out "for a while" after injuring his calf during batting practice on Saturday, according to Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle. Manager Dusty Baker said that Abreu's injury has forced him to use crutches, which reinforces the fact that this will be a longer-term absence for Abreu. He had been a solid pitcher in SV/HLD formats this year, but with this news managers can safely drop him to the waiver-wire until his return.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
