2 years agoThe Miami Marlins have called up right-handed pitcher Bryan Hoeing to make a spot start Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers in place of Braxton Garrett. This will be Hoeing's debut, and it's safe to say the Marlins aren't exactly easing him into things. The 25-year-old isn't a highly ranked prospect and had pitched to 4.25 ERA and 1.47 WHIP in the minors this year, while racking up 70 strikeouts in 84 ⅓ IP. Hoeing has no fantasy appeal, especially for tonight's matchup. But hey, it would be a pretty cool story if he is able to go out there and have a decent outing. It seems unlikely, though.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
