3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds is on the bench for Friday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals and left-handed starter J.A. Happ. Reynolds has been Pittsburgh's best position player this season, batting .300 with a .381 on-base percentage, 21 home runs, and four stolen bases in 517 plate appearances. It'll be Anthony Alford starting in left field in Reynolds' place and batting eighth against the Cardinals. The 26-year-old is hitting .167 with a .259 on-base percentage, a home run, and a stolen base in 54 plate appearances this season.
