Bryce Harper Exits Game After Being Hit By Pitch
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (leg) exited Saturday's contest against the New York Mets after being hit by a pitch. Harper went to bunt but was hit on the left leg by a Jacob deGrom offering down and in. He was replaced by fellow outfielder Travis Jankowski. Fantasy managers will obviously be hoping this doesn't lead to any missed time for Harper, who continues to produce at the plate. The veteran entered play on Saturday with a .275 batting average, a .386 on-base percentage and 11 home runs in 228 plate appearances. He's also added some value on the base paths so far with five stolen bases. If Harper misses time, Jankowski and Brad Miller would be candidates to see some extra starts in the outfield.
