2 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies moved outfielder Bryce Harper (elbow, thumb) to the 60-day injured list on Thursday to make room for outfielder Bradley Zimmer, who was claimed off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays. Harper is recovering from a fractured left thumb after undergoing surgery in late June, but his timetable hasn't changed at all. He's also recovering from a torn ligament in his right elbow, but the 29-year-old is fully expected to make it back before the end of the regular season next month. There's a chance that Harper could begin a minor league rehab assignment at some point next week.
