Bryce Harper Not Ready To Have Pins Removed
2 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper (thumb) didn't have the pins removed from his fractured left thumb on Monday, but that could happen next week. He hasn't suffered a setback of any sort, but he just isn't quite ready to have his pins removed. Harper will meet with his surgeon again next Monday and will hopefully be cleared to have his pins removed. The 29-year-old slugger will still have at least several weeks before he might come off the injured list after he has his pins removed, so fantasy managers must remain patient and keep him stashed in fantasy. Last year's National League MVP had also been playing through a right elbow injury, but it hadn't slowed down his production at the plate, as he was hitting .318/.385/.599 with a .985 OPS, 15 home runs, 48 RBI, 49 runs scored and nine stolen bases at the time of his injury.
