4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper could see his first game action of the spring on Friday against the Pirates. Manager Joe Girardi said the team is thinking that Harper will take the field in the next few days, but that Friday is a real possibility for his Grapefruit League debut. The 28-year-old slugger had a fine season for the Phillies in 2020, slashing .268/.420/.542 with 13 homers and eight stolen bases in 58 games. Not only did Harper post the highest walk rate of his career last season, but the underlying numbers- 96th percentile in expected batting average and 99th in expected slugging- suggest that his counting stats could have been even better than they were. Don't let Harper fall past his 18 ADP as he has a high floor as well as the upside to exceed 100 runs, RBI, and walks in 2021.--Tim Capurso
