3 years agoBubba Wallace had a better qualifying session on Saturday night and wound up 18th. However, the 23Xi Racing team is not having the best start to the season in Los Angeles. Kurt Busch was 32nd fastest on Saturday night and both cars looked slow in the qualifying session. Wallace's car may be more concerning because it was downright awful in practice runs. His best lap was dead last in the field at just 63.452 mph. The No. 23 car was a hair faster in qualifying at just under 64 mph. Wallace needs to find something in that Toyota engine on Sunday and fast. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
