3 years agoBubba Wallace has one of the quickest cars on the Atlanta course. Now, his ninth-place lap average of 30.785 seconds was more than respectable. The No. 23 Toyota turned in the 23rd-best lap in practice but again his lap intervals did not drop dramatically. That is consistent with how Wallace has driven with the lower HP package on superspeedways. Wallace, like Kurt Busch, could be overlooked based on other drivers at Atlanta. Changeable track conditions likely benefit Wallace much like they did at Talladega and Daytona. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
