Buccaneers Not Concerned With Leonard Fournette's Weight
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said he has no issues with running back Leonard Fournette's weight, and he looked much slimmer in the team's first training camp practice on Wednesday compared to mandatory minicamp in June. Fournette said he weighed 244 pounds for the start of camp after a report said he weighted 260 at minicamp. "He ran great in the test yesterday – he's explosive, he's quick and we're happy with him," Bowles said. Despite the overblown weight-gain talks this offseason, Lenny will open the year as Tampa's clear-cut lead back, and he's likely to be on the field most of the time. Despite the addition of rookie Rachaad White, Fournette, who had 1,266 scrimmage yards and 10 touchdowns in last year's regular season, will be a strong RB1 choice for fantasy managers.
