Buccaneers Will Leave The Light On For Tom Brady
3 years agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers are still holding out hope that quarterback Tom Brady will come out of retirement to play for them again in 2022. General manager Jason Licht said that the team will keep the light on for Brady in case he has second thoughts about playing. Head coach Bruce Arians doesn't think that Brady will come back. If Brady doesn't come out of retirement, Tampa will entertain the idea of trading for a veteran QB this offseason, but if they don't go that route, the starting job in 2022 could be a competition between Blaine Gabbert and Kyle Trask, who was a second-round pick in 2021. If last year ends up being Tom Terrific's last season, the 44-year-old went out with one of his best performances of a first-ballot Hall of Fame career, throwing for a league-high 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns with only 12 interceptions in 17 regular season games.
