7 years agoThe Tampa Buccaneers picked up quarterback Jameis Winston's fifth-year option of $20.922 million on Tuesday. The option is guaranteed against injury. The first overall pick in 2015, Winston has been inconsistent and turnover-prone in his three years with the Bucs. He played in 13 games in 2017, completing a career-high 63.8 percent of his passes for 3,504 yards, 19 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. While Tampa could look to extend Winston before the 2018 season is up, next season could be a make-or-break year for him under center. Value him as a low-end QB1.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
