Bucs, Tom Brady Haven't Discussed Anything Beyond 2022
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said that the team hasn't discussed anything beyond the 2022 season with quarterback Tom Brady since he came out of a short-lived retirement this offseason. Brady said that he doesn't have a ton of football left in him, but nobody knows whether he'll return for another season in 2023. A league source said in March that Brady has a no-franchise tag clause in his contract, so Tampa won't have a way to keep him beyond 2022 without a new deal being struck. There has been chatter that Brady's return was tied to a plan to join the Miami Dolphins as a minority owner with eyes on returning to play for them as well. It's all speculation right now, and with Brady a Buccaneer again in 2022, he'll continue to be a QB1 for fantasy managers.
