7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals closer Bud Norris (hip) said he's been fighting right hip discomfort all year, and it's something that only bothers him when he has to cover first base or back up other bases. “It’s something I really have to start monitoring,” said Norris. “Some days it’s good and some days it’s bad. I feel it when I run. When I pitch, I don’t feel it. Jogging in from the bullpen, backing up third base is when I felt it a little bit. I’m trying to take care of this old body.” Norris was seen limping off the field after a blown save on Monday and was unavailable on Tuesday. It doesn't seem like an injury that will land him on the disabled list, but you can't be too careful if you own him.
