Budda Baker Suffers Scary Injury Monday Night
3 years agoArizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker (head, neck) suffered a scary injury in the second half of Monday night's wild-card game against the Los Angeles Rams. Baker took a hard hit from Rams running back Cam Akers near the goal line and appeared to lose consciousness on the play. Baker was immobilized and stretchered off the field, and he'll likely be taken to a local hospital to have his head examined. The good news is that he had movement in his extremities and gave a thumbs up before leaving the field. The Cardinals defense hasn't had any answers for the Rams offense all night long, and losing Baker, who made the Pro Bowl for the fourth time this season, won't help their cause. There's a good chance that Baker might stay overnight in a hospital as a precaution.
