6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Brian Anderson allowed three runs - two earned - and two hits with two walks and three strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision on Sunday in Texas. He threw 59 of his 93 pitches for strikes in the quality start, but normally reliable J.B. Wendelken allowed a solo homer in the seventh and Joakim Soria came apart like a cheap suit, allowing four earned runs, three hits and a walk while retiring just one batter to take a win out of the pocket of Anderson and his fantasy owners. Anderson will try to get back in the win column next Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays.--Daniel Dobish
