The veteran caught a bullpen session on Thursday, encouraging news after being diagnosed with a left thumb bruise over a week ago. The 34-year-old has been remarkable, batting .328, with 66 hits, 35 runs, 28 RBI, and 12 homers throughout 201 at-bats this season.
