Buster Posey Hits Solo Home Run Thursday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey made his mark on Opening Day in a 7-8 loss to the Mariners, going 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk. Batting seventh, Thursday was Posey's first action since 2019, as he elected to sit out of the shortened 2020 season. Posey crushed a second-inning Marco Gonzalez delivery into the left-field seats for his first HR of the season and his third career Opening Day HR. A fabulous catcher and player all around, Posey did have his worst season in many seasons in 2019. However, given the scarcity of the position in fantasy, Posey is definitely worth a look at least in two-catcher leagues.
