3 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey will not start Sunday's game against the Colorado Rockies, instead taking a seat on the bench. Curt Casali will step in behind the plate, batting eighth. Posey has had a resurgent season as a hitter, slashing .301/.386/.500 with 18 homers in 376 at-bats, but he's slowed somewhat in the second half with a .269/.345/.446 line since the All-Star break. Fantasy managers should expect Posey to have plenty of rest down the stretch as the Giants endeavor to have his bat ready for a postseason run.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
