3 years agoSan Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey (thumb) is out of Tuesday's lineup against the St. Louis Cardinals, Alex Pavlovic reported. This is the second game Posey has missed since taking a foul tip off of his left thumb in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. He is still considered day-to-day, though, so fantasy managers will just have to keep waiting for more word on when the 34-year-old slugger will return. Chadwick Tromp will start behind the dish and bat eighth for San Francisco after being a defensive fill-in for Curt Casali in Monday's game. Tromp only has nine big-league at-bats so far this season but is hitting .444/.444/.778 with one home run, two RBI and four hits. Still, he's a low-upside desperation play in DFS against Cardinals right-hander Adam Wainwright.--Chelena Goldman
