Byron Buxton 2019 Outlook: Speedy Outfielder Looks To Put 2018 Injuries Behind Him
6 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton struggled through a nightmare 2018 season. The speedy outfielder got off to a brutally slow start at the plate and then wound up dealing with migraines, a fractured big toe, and a wrist sprain. He only appeared in 28 games for the Twins, slashing just .156/.183/.200 with eight runs, four RBI, and five steals. Fully healthy heading into the 2019 season, Buxton has some appeal as a potential double-digit homer and steal fantasy asset, if he can stay on the field. Currently sporting an ADP of 189.5, Buxton is a perfect addition as a reserve outfielder who has a good shot at outperforming his draft spot if he can put the injuries behind him in 2019.
