7 years agoUpdating a previous report, Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (toe) could be close to activation from the disabled list. According to manager Paul Molitor, there is "momentum" toward activating Buxton without a rehab assignment, most likely while the team is in Anaheim for a four-game series with the Angels which begins on Thursday. Buxton was able to run the bases again on Tuesday and him not needing a rehab stint would speed up the timetable for activating him. The speedy outfielder has been on the disabled list since mid-April, first with a migraine and then with a fractured big toe. The return of Buxton to center field would move Max Kepler back to right field while pushing Robbie Grossman back to a bench role.--Matt T - RotoBaller
