4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in a losing effort to the Rangers on Tuesday. Buxton crushed a 93-MPH Kyle Gibson sinker 433 feet into left-center at an exit velocity of 108.4 MPH for his ninth long ball of the year. The 27-year-old impressively ranks in the 99th-percentile in hard-hit rate, expected slugging percentage, and sprint speed and is simply becoming must-see television on a nightly basis as one of the most exciting players in the league. Buxton will have a platoon advantage against left-hander Hyeon-Jong Yang on Wednesday.--Tim Capurso
