4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (hip) is expected to begin hitting in the cage on Thursday or Friday. Buxton was also cleared to throw and work with the strength and conditioning staff. Given that his timetable for a return was initially seen as "weeks" away, the star outfielder isn't close to being activated, though it is nice to see him taking some steps forward. Fantasy managers will hope that Buxton can progress through his recovery from the hip strain quickly, as he was vastly outplaying his ADP before the injury with a .370/.408/.772 slash line along with nine homers and five stolen bases.--Tim Capurso
