4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (hip) hasn't ramped up to "significant running" yet. Buxton has been able to work on the field with the training staff- though he is still being built up to the point where he can actually open things up and test out his hip, per manager Rocco Baldelli. Since speed is such an important part of Buxton's game, this will be the biggest test in his recovery from a Grade 2 hip strain that has sidelined him since May 7. Given that Baldelli initially said the star outfielder was weeks away, Buxton likely still has a ways to go before he returns to action.--Tim Capurso
