Byron Buxton Hits Go-Ahead Homer Tuesday
2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton made his mark in Tuesday's All-Star Game, going 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a strikeout in the American League's 3-2 win. Buxton followed up Giancarlo Stanton's fourth-inning two-run HR with a solo blast, crushing a high Tony Gonsolin offering into the left-field seats for what would be the winning run. The 28-year-old has managed to stay healthy so far this season, compiling a .216/.293/.531 slash line with 23 HR, 43 RBI, and two steals. The batting average and steals have not been what fantasy managers were hoping for, but the power and most importantly health have been there. Buxton will remain a fantasy asset as long as he can stay on the field.
