Byron Buxton In The Lineup Again Monday
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (knee) is in the starting lineup for the second straight day on Monday, starting in center field and batting leadoff against Oakland Athletics left-hander Zach Logue. Buxton has been battling through a knee issue of late, but it's nice to see him playing in his second straight game. The Twins are being cautious with the oft-injured 28-year-old, though, so don't be surprised to see him take a day to rest more often than not until he gets past the injury. Buxton is a must-start fantasy asset in single-year leagues anytime he's playing, and he's hitting .259/.330/.706 with a 1.036 OPS, 11 home runs, 19 RBI and 20 runs scored in 23 games. He has just one steal and hasn't had double-digit thefts since 2019, but he will pack the stat sheet elsewhere when healthy.
