4 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (illness) is not in Monday's lineup for the series opener against the Tigers. Buxton was forced to leave Sunday's game early as he came down with a non-COVID-related illness and appears to need a day of recovery before getting back into game action. The 27-year-old will be replaced in center field by Jake Cave, who has a career .800 OPS against right-handed pitching- Tigers' right-hander Jose Urena is on the mound. Brent Rooker will get the start in left field after being recalled from the alternate site.--Tim Capurso
