Byron Buxton Optimistic
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (knee) is "very optimistic about how he's feeling right now." "I think we're going to get to the point in the next day or two where we're talking about a specific plan for getting him back out there," manager Rocco Baldelli said on Monday. Buxton is sitting out his third straight game on Monday against the Boston Red Sox and probably won't return on Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals, but it doesn't sound as though he'll need to go on the injured list. The power-speed threat will need to be returned to all starting lineups in fantasy when he's back out there. Nick Gordon made the first two starts in center field with Buxton hurt, but Gilberto Celestino is in center and hitting ninth on Monday against Red Sox lefty Rich Hill.
