7 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is not in Saturday's lineup against the Brewers. Buxton has had a tumultuous season filled with struggles at the plate and with health. Since his reinstatement from the disabled list, Buxton has failed to provide much offense. Buxton is 2-for-23 with three runs, one RBI, and no steals since his return. He had been relegated to the bottom of the Twins order earlier in the season and it seems as if he is going to stay there with his recent play. The speedy outfielder still provides his team with elite defense so it's unlikely that he gets sent down for now, but fantasy wise it is getting harder to hold on by the day. Hopefully, Buxton is just shaking off the rust from his DL stint and will produce somewhere close to what he did in 2017 sooner or later, but no one should be blamed for dropping him in shallower leagues.--Kev Mahserejian - RotoBaller
