Byron Buxton Returns Against Rays
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (hand) is back in center field and is hitting leadoff on Sunday against Tampa Ray Rays left-hander Josh Fleming. Buxton was a late scratch from the starting lineup on Saturday due to a right hand contusion, but it obviously wasn't a very serious injury, and he came off the bench in Saturday's game. The 28-year-old has gone hitless in 11 at-bats over his last three games, but he's still hitting .271 with a 1.069 OPS, six home runs, 11 RBI, 11 runs scored and one stolen base in 53 plate appearances in the first month of the season. Despite Buxton's recent cold streak, fantasy managers should be putting him back into their starting lineups in single-season redraft leagues.
