Byron Buxton Sitting Sunday
3 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is taking the day off on Sunday against the Kansas City Royals. Buxton will take a seat after starting the last three games and going 0-for-11 with four walks, one RBI and four runs scored. The Twins are trying to give the oft-injured 28-year-old more rest days in order to keep him healthy for the rest of the season. When in the lineup, Buxton is a must-start fantasy commodity, even though he's hitting .228/.313/.604. He has a .917 OPS, 11 home runs, 21 RBI, 24 runs scored and one stolen base in 115 plate appearances. Gilberto Celestino is making the start in center field and is batting ninth on Sunday against Royals right-hander Brady Singer.
