2 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton (hip) will undergo an MRI after injuring his hip in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Rangers, per the Athletic's Aaron Gleeman. Buxton appeared to tweak something in his right knee during a swing and later exited after an attempted diving catch in center field. Manager Rocco Baldelli said that, in addition to the season-long right knee injury, Buxton has also played much of the season with a hip injury. It is a shame to hear that the 28-year-old may have to miss even more time, as he has slashed .224/.306/.526 with 28 home runs, 51 RBI, and six stolen bases this season. Fantasy managers should wait to see what the MRI yields, but they should start preparing a contingency plan should Buxton have to miss time.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
