5 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback C.J. Beathard went 13-for-17 in Saturday's preseason win over the Dallas Cowboys. He had 141 yards and threw a touchdown and an interception. Beathard was the 49ers' backup quarterback for the early parts of last year, but he opened training camp third on the depth chart and there were questions about whether or not he'd make the final roster. Saturday was a step towards answering those, but he still remains firmly behind Nick Mullens in the race to be Jimmy Garoppolo's backup.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
