C.J. Cron Collects Three Hits In Return
3 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in a 2-1 extra-innings loss to the Padres on Tuesday. Cron was activated from the injured list earlier on Tuesday after missing 11 days with a lower back strain. The veteran first baseman picked up right where he left off before his injury, collecting three hits, including a double. He scored the Rockies' only run off of a Josh Fuentes double in the second inning as well. The 31-year-old is now rocking an excellent .309/.407/.515 batting line to go with five home runs and 15 RBI across 113 plate appearances this season. He should continue to rake moving forward as the Rockies' cleanup hitter.
