C.J. Cron Drives In Five Runs In Tuesday's Win
4 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, and five RBI in a 6-2 win over the Houston Astros. Cron put the Rockies on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning when he smoked a two-run double off Bryan Abreu to plate Trevor Story and Charlie Blackmon. He wasn't done, though, as he hit his first home run of the year, a three-run laser to left field, off Joe Smith in the bottom of the eighth to put Houston out of their misery. Cron has now driven in eight runs on the season following the five RBI outburst. He's still struggling with a .208/.321/.354 batting line over his first 48 at-bats but he's worth holding on to in deeper leagues. The weather hasn't been great in Denver to start the season but the ball should start to fly at Coors Field once the weather begins to warm up.
