C.J. Cron Goes Deep In Loss To Texas
3 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron went 2-for-4 with a home run and a strikeout in a 4-3 loss to the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. Cron smashed his 25th homer of the season, a solo shot, off Jordan Lyles in the seventh inning as the Rockies attempted to mount a comeback. The veteran first baseman has been on fire over the last seven games, going deep four times while slashing .308/.379/.808. He's put together a solid year in Colorado as well and has rewarded fantasy managers that stuck with him through his early-season struggles. He's now batting .278 with a .925 OPS, 25 home runs, 77 RBI, and one stolen base over 367 at-bats.
