4 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron had himself a day on Sunday, going 4-for-5 at the plate in Colorado's win over Philadelphia 12-2. Batting fifth in the middle of the Rockies lineup, Cron connected four times for three singles and a homer on the day, driving Trevor Story in and scoring two runs himself. This was a flawless performance by Cron, whose other plate appearance saw him reach base on a Didi Gregorius error. Cron has been able to generate above-average production this season, sitting at a 114 wRC+ through 73 plate appearances so far this year. With the homer against Philadelphia on Sunday, Cron now has three long balls to his name on the year and has hit in three consecutive games.--Antonio Losada - RotoBaller
