C.J. Cron Powers The Rockies To Victory
3 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron found his power stroke on Thursday, going 2-for-4 with a grand slam, a double, and a strikeout in a 7-3 win over the Brewers. After three of the first five batters reached base for Colorado in the bottom of the first inning, Cron swatted a grand slam off of Brandon Woodruff to put the Rockies up 4-0. He would double later in the contest as well. The 31-year-old slugger has found his power stroke over the last four games, crushing three homers and driving in seven runs. He's slashing .256/.360/.453 with eight long balls and 25 RBI across 172 at-bats on the season. He was dropped in a lot of fantasy leagues following his struggles in May but his roster shares should see an uptick given his recent play. He'll be a popular FAAB candidate this weekend.
