4 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron went 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk in a 2-1 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday. Cron was the Rockies' offense on Tuesday as he accounted for their only run when he took Seattle starter Chris Flexen deep in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game at 1-1. He also reached with a walk earlier in the contest. The veteran slugger has been on fire over the last seven games, slashing .417/.462/.958 with four home runs and 10 RBI. On the year, he's got a .272/.374/.489 batting line with 10 home runs, 24 RBI, and 30 runs scored across 189 at-bats. He's in line for a big second half.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
