C.J. Cron Swats Two Home Runs In Blowout Win
3 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI, four runs scored, and a walk in a 14-2 blowout win over the Marlins on Friday. Cron opened up the scoring with a solo homer in the bottom of the second inning. He tacked on another home run, a three-run blast, in the bottom of the fourth. He ended up scoring four runs and driving in four in the lopsided victory. Cron had been slumping prior to Friday's performance so perhaps this will get him going. Overall, he's slashing .249/.360/.467 with 16 home runs and 50 RBI over 289 at-bats on the year. He's underwhelmed from a fantasy perspective but he's capable of catching fire down the stretch.
