C.J. Mosley, Quinnen Williams Progressing For Jets Defense
5 years agoNew York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley (groin) didn't practice Friday, but head coach Adam Gase seems optimistic that the star middle linebacker will play Monday night against Cleveland. According to Gase, Mosley and defensive lineman Quinnen Williams (ankle) are progressing, and as of Friday both are expected to play. Gase also said that safety Jamal Adams (hip) is expected to play Monday despite his hip issue worsening since the game Sunday. Despite the positive injury news, the Jets Defense is a risky play Monday against a Browns offense that should be better than they showed in Week 1. Injury woes on the Jets offense could lead the defense to be on the field a lot and in poor field position in addition to the defense's own injury concerns. Fantasy owners should look elsewhere when starting a defense this week.
