2 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitching prospect Cade Cavalli will reportedly make his Major League debut on Friday in a start against the Cincinnati Reds, according to a tweet from 106.7 The Fan's Grant Paulsen on Wednesday. The 22nd-overall pick in the 2020 draft, Cavalli has pitched for Washington's Triple-A affiliate in Rochester this season, making 20 starts and posting a 3.71 ERA, a 3.23 FIP, and 104 strikeouts in 97 innings of work. He's also walked 39 batters on the season. He could be a useful streaming option on Friday against a Reds team that has scored the fifth-fewest runs in the league in the month of August.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
