Cal Raleigh Blasts First Career Homer
3 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh hit his first major-league home run Friday night, and i was a big one, traveling 444 feet off of Oakland Athletics starter Frankie Montas. The two-run shot was Raleigh's only hit in four at-bats, and he struck out in each of his other three turns at the plate. The switch-hitting Raleigh has plenty of potential, but he's struck out in eight of 20 career at-bats over his first six games. He'll need to limit that number before he becomes a consideration in standard leagues, though he's a definite add in dynasty and keeper formats.
