3 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh went 2-for-3 Tuesday night against the Colorado Rockies, picking up a double, a single, a walk, two RBI, and a run scored. Those were the first two hits of the young backstop's career. Raleigh had been off to an 0-for-12 start before Tuesday, but this game showed off the upside he possesses. The Mariners certainly didn't call Raleigh up to the majors to sit on the bench, so the switch-hitter seems poised to see plenty of playing time in the middle of the lineup. He's worth a look in deep mixed and keeper leagues.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
