6 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Caleb Smith was fantastic Wednesday night in a 4-2 win versus the Indians. Smith gave up only four hits and one run in seven dominant innings. He struck out eight and walked two while improving his record to 3-0. Wins will be hard to come by in Miami, but Smith should be owned in all leagues at this point. Smith has 45 strikeouts in 36 innings this season and has yet to give up more than three earned runs in a start. The start lowers Smith's ERA to an even 2.00, which is backed up by a sub-3.00 xFIP.
