3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Caleb Smith struggled against the Dodgers on Sunday, allowing five runs on three hits and five walks while striking out three over 1 2/3 innings in a 13-0 loss. After a good performance in the month of June, Smith has struggled over his last five starts now, going 1-4 with a 10.97 ERA, 1.735 WHIP and 23.8 percent strikeout rate over 21 1/3 innings. At this point, there's no reason to be starting Smith in any format until he turns things around again on the mound.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
