6 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Caleb Smith (hip) will be making a rehab appearance before returning to the Marlins rotation. This report contradicts an earlier report that suggested Smith would potentially return to pitch this weekend against the Phillies. Assuming no setbacks occur, we could see Smith back with the big club sometime next week, which would be a welcome sight to the Marlins and fantasy owners alike, as he has produced very well this year and should be owned in all but the shallowest of leagues. A potential innings limit is on the horizon, but if he continues to pitch as well as he has, he will provide more than enough value to warrant being held.--Joseph Magazzinich
