Call-Up Coming Soon For Nick Madrigal?

4 years agoThe Chicago White Sox director of player development Chris Getz stated that second base prospect Nick Madrigal is "pretty close" to receiving his big-league promotion. Madrigal is the future at second base for the Pale Hose, and now that the service time deadline has passed, there's no penalty in bringing the speedy 23-year-old up to the majors. He's the White Sox fourth-ranked prospect in a loaded system and could impact fantasy teams this year with his ability to get on base and steal bases. Madrigal swiped 35 bags a year ago in the minors to a .311 BA, which would translate nicely to the top of the order in the coming years for the South Siders.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
