3 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said running back Cam Akers (Achilles) could make his season debut against the San Francisco 49ers. "I think you let him go," McVay said. "I think he's ready." On Christmas, the 22-year-old was activated from the injured reserve and continues to work his way back from torn Achilles he suffered in July. If active for Week 18, it's unclear how many snaps Akers will have with teammate Sony Michel playing well as the Rams lead back, averaging 4.6 YPC over his last five games. Fantasy managers with something to play for Week 18 can look for a different option as Akers' role remains unclear at this time.
